West Coast Surveys Limited has an exciting opportunity for a trained asbestos surveyor working predominantly in the north-west of England and southern Scotland.
Reporting to company director, the ideal candidate will play an essential role in assisting our clients fulfil their duties in controlling and managing asbestos related hazards by identifying and assessing potential asbestos-containing materials within commercial, industrial and domestic buildings.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Identifying and sampling suspected asbestos-containing materials.
• Liaise with administration team to ensure samples are sent to the UKAS accredited laboratory with correct documentation.
• Undertake Management and Refurbishment & Demolition surveys.
• Recording accurate and detailed survey findings using digital-based systems.
• Assessing the condition and risk of identified asbestos materials.
• Provide remedial recommendations for safe control / management of asbestos containing materials.
• Maintaining a consistent, professional attitude whilst representing the company.
• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Ensure reports are completed within timescales and in accordance with required standards of output.
Role Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Asbestos Surveyor.
• Must hold BOHS P402 Asbestos Surveying and Sampling (or equivalent).
• Confident with IT systems, ideally being familiar with survey software TEAMS and Microsoft 365 packages.
• Ability to obtain enhanced DBS check.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as necessary.
• Up to date knowledge of current asbestos legislation, guidance and industry best practice techniques.
• Must be able to work under own initiative and prioritise workload.
• Right to work in the UK.

• Starting salary £35k, negotiable depending on experience.
