Thermal Insulation Case Study – Willowgate

West Coast Thermal Ltd has completed a prestigious contract applying thermal insulation and cladding to the main effluent pipe work running under the River Tay Railway Bridge, Willowgate, Perth.

This followed on from months of designs & mock-up tests between West Coast Thermal, Amey-Black and Veatch and Scottish Water to finalise specific requirements to suit.
The expanse over the river was 420m in total and was completed within budget and within the allotted timescale.

Congratulations to contracts manager Shane Varty, senior supervisor Mark Richardson and his team for completing this project in sometimes challenging conditions, working over the fast flowing river, overhead electric cable lines, live railway, public footpath, asbestos-related materials present and winter weather were all negotiated without issue and handed over to the client.
