Minimizing energy losses has the immediate benefit of reducing fuel consumption and thus reducing running costs. Every kWh of energy which is consumed by the generating plant generates CO2 emissions which are bad for the environment. The surest way of reducing these emissions is by reducing energy consumption and the use of efficient thermal insulation is one of the most effective means of achieving this.

 

West Coast Thermal Limited is a full member of TICA (Thermal Insulation Contractors Association) and every year has a regular intake of insulation apprentices. The apprentices attend college in Darlington over a three year period and will eventually become fully qualified Thermal Insulation Engineers. We take a pride in the way we conduct ourselves, management and the workforce, from tender stage of a project right through to final handover.

 

We are members of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme with all our Insulation operatives possessing CSCS cards which reflect their skill and experience levels. We also have an extremely good Health & Safety record which is a result of an ongoing rolling training programme in all aspects of health & safety. All operatives have Safety Passports and are qualified in the use of mobile scaffolds, scissor lifts and cherry pickers.
